My first true understanding of ECB's and coupon lingo!

So what exactly is an ECB?  What is all this extreme couponing that everyone keeps talking about?  I thought coupons went out of style!  I remember when my mom used to clip coupons.  But I never really understood how it helped, much less how it could help the family save money!  Now... I know.

For the week of April 22 - April 28,  for a little less than $4 OOP (out of pocket), I was able to get 20 items with a retail value of approximately $110 (including tax).  So, how did I do it?  I did it 4 Transactions, a few good sales and some of ECBs (Extra Care Bucks)!  What did I get?

(4) Bottles of Head and Shoulders

After everything was purchased, I still had $4 ECBs to use during my next trip!
